Nicole Anne Yoga offers School Yoga classes to students in elementary, middle, and high schools. Children and teens derive enormous benefits from yoga. Physically, practicing yoga enhances their flexibility, strength, coordination, balance, and body awareness. Practicing yoga can also help children and teens feel much calmer and more relaxed. Most importantly though, learning yoga can be a great deal of FUN!
For young children (ages 5 to 12) our School Yoga classes include age-appropriate games, animal sounds, and creative names for poses, stories, music, imagination, and visualization. Our classes integrate movement, sound, and play as these elements have a profound impact on learning, creativity, stress management and improved health and well-being.
Yoga classes also teach children the language associated with their bodies. They learn the names of their body parts, muscle groups, and how to breathe fully. Little ones get to challenge themselves by seeing how long they can hold yoga poses or balance like a strong and powerful tree.
Nicole Anne Yoga can also send a yoga instructor out to work with any middle school or high school football team or any school’s sports team. Teen athletes are amazed to learn how much yoga can help them improve and excel at their school sports.
